I've read a lot of self-help books over the years, and this is one of the best I've read. The author bases his work in solid psychological grounding and not mumbo-jumbo that wants you to believe you can create something out of mere wanting it. That has always seemed self-serving and indulgent to me. The book isn't focused on how to get a new car, lots of money, or the best date, but takes a simple and honest approach to the concept that the power of the creative imagination is a tool, a solid tool, to help empower the reader to take positive action in life. When you take action and align your vision with your desires you have a dynamic combination. But not a combination for "gimme, gimme, gimme." This is what makes the book so interesting to me; the author breaks down the steps to achieving confidence which in turn gives someone the belief that they can do what they want, and have the life they so desire. It takes a combination of right attitudes, the power of the mind and taking concrete action. A good book that I hope gets more attention.

p.26-27 Visualization is a natural process that allows you to see pictures in your mind... The pictures you see in your mind can depict actual things in your waking life or things not actually present - in other words, things you want to take place.

p.27 Guided imagery is a natural mental thought process that uses sensory information in an unforced, free-flowing way... you simply close your eyes, take a few deep relaxing breaths, and follow a script to imagine your desired goals... The use of a script is what makes this technique "guided."

p.39 Focusing the power of your mental pictures to realize yourself being strong, successful, confident. Once you have clarified these visions of inspiration, you can indeed transform your dreams into reality.

p.43 "Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions." -Albert Einstein

p.85 "As I lay there thinking of my vision, I could see it all again and feel the meaning with a part of me like a strange power glowing in my body." -Black Elk

p.87 You've learned that guided imagery is a powerful tool that allows you to prepare, practice, and anticipate the reality of [accomplishing a desired task]

p.123 "I never hit a shot, not even in practice, without having a very sharp, in-focus picture of it in my head." - Jack Nicklaus
