Matthew Bellamy of the rock group MUSE was contacted by the New Jersey bureau of tourism and asked to write a song to get people to visit New Jersey. He did that, but they didn't like it, and so they didn't pay him for it.
Matthew Bellamy rewrote the words, and it became a smashing hit. That was a bad thing for the songwriter to do. He should not have done that.
