Moria, don't you think we're fallin'? If everybody wants us, why isn't anybody callin'? You don't have to answer Leave
them hangin' on the line, oh-oh-oh, calling Moria
Yet another song was cut from the movie Lord of the Rings at the last moment. In the scene after
the fighting Gandalf and Balrog plummet into a pit in Moria, this song was scheduled to be sung to cheer up the remaining
members of the fellowship, by Aragorn, with the remaining members of the fellowship doing synchnonized dance steps.
As the group approaches the Eastern (Dimrill) Gate, Frodo comments that he is going to miss Gandalf,
and Aragorn launches into this song, hinting that Gandalf will show up again, at a later point.
Unfortunately, it was discovered that the cheap songwriter hired to create musical numbers for the film
had stolen the melody and most of the lyrics from a 1980's song, and it was cut from the film.
Laura Branigan Moria lyrics
Moria, we're always on the run now Running from everybody, we gotta ditch it somehow I think
we've got to slow down before we start to blow it I think we're headed for a breakdown, we'll be careful not
to show it
We really don't remember, was it something that he said? Are the voices in our heads calling,
Moria? Moria, don't you think we're fallin'? If everybody wants us, why isn't anybody callin'? You don't have to
answer Leave them hangin' on the line, oh-oh-oh, calling Moria Moria (Moria), I think they got our number (Moria) I
think they got the alias (Moria) that we've been living under (Moria) But we really don't remember, was it something
that he said? Are the voices in our head calling, Moria?
A-ha-ha, a-ha-ha, Moria, how's it gonna go down? Will we meet him on the main line, or will we
catch him on the rebound? Will we carry for the money, undercover in the afternoon? Feel our innocence slipping
away, don't believe it's comin' back soon
And we really don't remember, was it something that he said? Are the voices in our head calling,
