A scrap of paper, found on a recording studio floor (and thought to be lost), was recently rediscovered, and reveals
the original lyrics to the hit song Chariots of Fire.
After a heated discussion with his producers, Vangelis threw out the lyrics and produced the song as an instrumental.
We can now see why the lyrics were not used.
